Poem: lost diamond (haiku conversation in 6 variations)

1)

Mother said I was

Like a lost diamond that fell

No one could see me

*2)

“You fell in the dirt

If only they could find you

See what I can see”

3)

I replied to her,

“Maybe I want to be lost

Hiding’s a filter”

*4)

“You’re misunderstood

Being alone isn’t good

Life’s about caring”

5)

“No one can change me

Anyone who tries will fail

I like being free”

*6)

“You’re so smart, Judy

You have a good heart, Judy

Be happy, Judy”

*mom’s dialogue
